Most of the year is decided in about ten weeks

New Jersey homeowners start searching for lawn care and landscaping as the weather turns in March, and the majority of the season’s contracts are decided by early summer. A landscaping account that spends evenly across twelve months has quietly under-spent during the only period that mattered and over-spent in the months when nobody is looking.

We front-load the year deliberately: heavy from late winter through spring, sustained through summer for project work, and pivoted in winter rather than switched off.

02

Recurring contracts are worth more than jobs, and cost less to win

A one-off clean-up is revenue once. A weekly maintenance contract is revenue every week for a season, and usually for several seasons. Yet most landscaping accounts advertise jobs, because jobs are what people search for. We build the campaigns to catch job intent and then structure the offer and the landing page to convert as many as possible into recurring maintenance — which is the whole difference between a busy year and a profitable one.

03

The service list is really several businesses

Lawn maintenance

Recurring, price-sensitive, decided quickly and locally

Design and installation (patios, walls, plantings)

High ticket, weeks of consideration, needs a real portfolio

Tree work and removals

Often urgent, especially after storms, and priced very differently

Irrigation

Seasonal openings and winterization, highly predictable and easy to advertise on schedule

Snow removal

The winter answer, and the reason a landscaping account should not go dark in December

04

Tight geography is not optional

Route density is the margin in this business. A maintenance customer twenty minutes past your existing route can be unprofitable even at a good price. We set radii around the routes you actually want to fill rather than the whole county, which usually raises lead quality and lowers spend at the same time.

05

Where the budget leaks

DIY searches (“how to overseed a lawn”), equipment and supply shopping, employment searches, and — the expensive one — commercial and municipal terms landing on a residential business. Storm periods also pull in a wave of tree-work searches that may or may not be work you want.

06

Proof sells the big jobs

Nobody commissions a patio from a stock photo. Real project photography, ideally recognizably local, does more for installation conversion rates than any bidding change — which is why we treat photos as part of the landing page work rather than an afterthought.
