NextAds is a Meta ads agency for Shopify and other ecommerce brands that sell products people buy again and again: supplements, food and beverage, beauty and personal care, and outdoor gear. The same partner runs your Facebook and Instagram ad account, the ad creative and the landing pages the ads send people to, so the ad, the page and the tracking are planned together.

Genti Xharavina spent years making paid-social creative that sells physical products for direct-to-consumer brands before NextAds, and he runs the strategy and the work. Orest Qavolli answers every new inquiry, and a partner replies within one business day. There is no markup on ad spend, and you stay month to month with no lock-in.

01

What Meta ads management includes for an online store

Facebook and Instagram ads run from the same Meta ad account, so managing one means managing both. Most of the account structure follows from how Meta’s delivery system learns.

Learning phase

Meta says an ad set usually leaves its learning phase after about 50 results in the week after its last significant edit. A significant edit to the ad, ad set or campaign during that phase resets learning, so it pays to leave an ad set alone while it collects those results.

Fewer ad sets

Meta also says the delivery system learns less about each ad and ad set when there are many of them, and it recommends combining similar ad sets so they share what they learn.

Steady budgets

Meta recommends a budget large enough to get enough results and lists frequent budget changes among the edits that can send an ad set back into learning.

Advantage+ sales campaigns

Meta describes these as the updated version of Advantage+ shopping campaigns. A campaign counts as Advantage+ when the budget sits at campaign level with a supported bid strategy, no ad set narrows its placements, and at least one ad set leaves audience targeting open: Advantage+ audience, location only, or detailed options Meta is allowed to widen.

Catalog ads

Shopify’s Facebook & Instagram by Meta channel can sync your products to a catalog on Facebook and Instagram. Advantage+ catalog ads, which Meta used to call dynamic ads, draw from that catalog, so the titles, images and availability in the product feed are what the ad shows.

02

Tracking before spend

Meta’s delivery system learns from the purchases it can see. Meta’s Conversions API guidance says only matched events can be used for ads attribution and ad delivery optimization, so missing purchase events weaken delivery and doubled ones inflate your reports. That is why tracking is the first thing we fix.

Data sharing setting

In Shopify’s Facebook & Instagram channel, the Standard setting uses the Meta Pixel alone, and Shopify notes that a browser ad blocker can stop the pixel from sharing data. Enhanced and Maximum add the Conversions API, which sends events from Shopify’s servers to Meta’s.

Deduplication

Meta recommends sending the same events through both the Pixel and the Conversions API. It removes the duplicate when the event name and event ID match and the second event arrives within 48 hours of the first.

Double counting

A purchase fired by a theme snippet, a tracking app and the Shopify channel at once inflates every number after it, so the extra sources come out before any result is trusted.

Event Match Quality

Events Manager shows a score out of 10 for the web events you send through the Conversions API, based on how well their customer information can be matched to a Meta account. Meta says sending more of it, such as email, phone number and IP address, may raise the score.

Shopify powers 127 of the 150 advertiser sites we could load in our October 2026 Ad Library sweep, so this page starts there. The full walkthrough is in our guide to the Meta Pixel and Conversions API on Shopify.

How much new creative your spend needs each month

There is no fixed number. It depends on your spend, your audience size and how quickly your ads wear out. Meta gives two signals in Ads Manager. When Meta judges that your audience has seen the same ad too many times, the ad set or ad shows Creative limited if its cost per result is above your past ads but under twice as much, and Creative fatigue at twice as much or more. One of Meta’s suggested fixes is a new ad with an image or video that is materially different from the original. Meta shows these statuses only for ad sets with a single creative, and not for catalog ads or dynamic creative. In ad sets with several ads, the signs are cost per result and frequency rising week over week.

So the useful number of new concepts is the number your budget can give enough spend to judge. Meta’s 50-result guide applies per ad set, not per ad, and adding many ads spreads what the system learns across them. Each month’s batch mixes statics, UGC-style edits and AI product scenes, with angles taken from your reviews and from competitors’ ads. Our guide shows how to read competitors’ ads in the Meta Ad Library. More on the formats we make is on the ad creative design page.

What 340 live ads from 154 advertisers showed

On October 2, 2026 we read 340 keyword-matched live ads from 154 advertisers in the US Meta Ad Library, across supplements, pet, food and beverage, beauty and outdoor gear. Most of the 154 are product brands, but our automatic filter also kept a few that are not, such as a marketplace, a retailer, an online grocer and some link and landing-page services. 111 of the 153 advertisers with a dated ad had a matching ad that had been live for 90 days or more, and the median advertiser’s oldest matching ad had run 132 days.

An ad that stays live for months is one of the few public signs of what a brand keeps paying for, so we read competitors’ longest-running ads before choosing angles. Each search captured the top 35 to 40 ads sorted by total impressions, high to low, so long-running ads are over-represented, and the Ad Library shows no spend or results. The method and full tables are in our Meta Ad Library study of 340 live ads.

Where the click lands: product page, landing page or homepage

An ad makes a promise, and the page it opens has to keep it. In the same sweep, 148 of the 340 ads sent people to a dedicated landing page, 123 to a product page and 41 to the homepage. A few advertisers supplied many of the sampled ads, so the advertiser-by-advertiser count below is the fairer read. Counted that way, the order flips: 73 of the 154 advertisers sent at least one ad to a product page and 57 sent at least one to a landing page. Destinations were classified from each link’s URL path, and the full breakdown is in the study.

Product page

Fits an ad that shows one product and one offer, when the page already answers what a buyer wants to know: what is in it, reviews, shipping and returns.

Landing page

Fits an ad that needs more explaining than a product page holds: a comparison, a bundle, a story, an advertorial or a listicle. We build these on Shopify or WordPress, keep them fast on mobile and A/B test them.

Homepage

Built for people who already know the brand. A cold click from an ad has to find its own way to the product.

Reading results: Ads Manager vs Shopify

Ads Manager and Shopify count orders in different ways, so their totals rarely match.

Meta’s count

Under Meta’s standard attribution, the attribution setting you choose for each ad set decides what counts: purchases within 1 or 7 days of a link click, and optionally within 1 day of an ad view or 1 day of another engagement, such as a 5-second video play.

Shopify’s count

Shopify’s marketing reports default to last non-direct click, which gives all the credit for an order to the last channel the buyer interacted with before buying, not counting direct visits. An order Meta credits to an ad view can show up in Shopify under email or Google.

Fewer view windows

Since January 12, 2026, Meta’s Ads Insights API no longer returns the 7-day and 28-day view windows, so older reports built on them will not line up with current ones.

Meta’s own help page says results cannot be compared in its Campaign Overview table across ad sets with different attribution models, because each model counts differently. Every week a partner sends the numbers in plain English, with every order tracked to a source.

06

Health, wellness and financial-category limits to plan around

Some categories carry extra rules on Meta that change what an ad can say, what data the Pixel can send and who an ad can reach, so they belong in the plan before the first ad is made.

Age limits and claims

Meta’s Health and Wellness policy requires ads for dietary, health and weight loss or gain products, and for cosmetic procedures, surgeries and permanent cosmetic products, to target people 18 or older. General food and protein products, non-permanent beauty products such as creams, makeup and hair products, and dental products such as teeth whitening are exempt. An ad that shows a before-and-after transformation of a general cosmetic product is still on Meta’s 18+ list, so it must target people 18 or older. The policy bans clickbait in health and weight ads, claims to cure listed incurable diseases such as diabetes or cancer, and weight and cosmetic ads that put down how someone looks.

Proof for health claims

The FTC’s Health Products Compliance Guidance says claims about health benefits need competent and reliable scientific evidence, and it applies the same truth-in-advertising rules to social media and influencer ads.

Data restrictions

Meta may assign a website to a data source category such as health and wellness or financial service, which can bring data-sharing limits, and it asks advertisers to review the category in Events Manager. Under core setup, custom parameters and everything in a URL after the domain are held back, and custom audiences built on them may stop working. Meta’s Business Tools Terms also bar sending data that includes or is based on health information, so product URLs and event names that name a health condition need checking before launch.

Special Ad Category

Advertisers in or targeting the US who run ads for financial products and services, housing or employment must declare a Special Ad Category. For these ads, Meta fixes the age range at 18 to 65+, removes gender selection and lookalike audiences, and requires at least a 15-mile radius around any city, address or pin. Its Help Center adds that ZIP or postal code targeting is limited or unavailable for these ads. For car dealerships, finance or lease offers are safest run in the Financial products and services category, and Meta’s review has the last word.

Category detail lives on the supplement marketing, beauty brand marketing and car dealership marketing pages, and our guide to Facebook ads for supplements covers what Meta approves and what it rejects.

How we start

If you already run Meta ads, the first step is a free Meta ads audit. We build it from public information only: your live ads in the Meta Ad Library, the pages those ads send people to, and what your Pixel shows from the browser. You do not need to give us access to your ad account. It ends with three ads or angles we would test first. A partner replies within one business day, the written teardown follows by email, and we never publish a teardown without the brand’s written permission.

  1. 1
    Ask for the audit

Tell us your store and what you sell. A partner replies within one business day.

  2. 2
    Read the teardown

Your live ads, where their clicks land, what your Pixel shows from the browser, and three ads or angles we would test first.

  3. 3
    Fix tracking

If we work together, the Pixel and Conversions API come first, so every order is tracked to a source.

  4. 4
    Launch the first creative batch

New ads go live, and the pages they send people to get built or fixed.

  5. 5
    Get weekly numbers

Every week a partner sends the numbers in plain English.

If you sell through more than one channel, our ecommerce marketing agency page covers Google Shopping, TikTok, SEO and the rest.

Meta ads agency questions, answered

Should I hire a Meta ads agency or a freelancer?

A good freelance media buyer can run an account well. The question is who handles the creative, landing pages and tracking. At NextAds the same partner runs the ad account, the creative and the landing pages, so when results drop we can trace the cause to the ad, the page or the data.

Do you run Instagram ads as well as Facebook ads?

Yes. Both run from the same Meta ad account. In an Advantage+ campaign every available placement is eligible, so each ad needs versions that fit feeds, Stories and Reels.

How long does a Meta ads test run?

There is no fixed number of days. Meta measures learning per ad set: an ad set usually leaves learning after about 50 results in the week after its last significant edit, and a significant edit during that time resets learning. If a test runs as its own ad set, its budget has to be large enough to get roughly that many results in a week before the ad set leaves learning.

Do you charge a markup on ad spend?

No. There is no markup on ad spend, and there is no lock-in.

Do you guarantee a return on ad spend?

No. Results depend on the product, the offer, your margins and the market, and no agency controls Meta’s auction. We commit to tracked numbers: every order tied to a source and a weekly report in plain English, so you can judge the work yourself.

Do you only work with Shopify stores?

No. Meta’s Pixel and Conversions API are not Shopify-only: other platforms have their own integrations, and custom stores can send server events directly. Shopify comes first on this page because it powered most of the advertiser sites in our sweep.
